O is for… Online Shopping

a-to-z-letters-o

In my Filofax setup I have a section for my online shopping. This includes a variety of inserts which make up what I consider my perfect setup for my usage.

My Set Up

  1. My Wishlist – this lists the product and site and price as I usually shop around a bit before making a purchase.
  2. My Favourite Sites (inclusive of sign up name / login etc) and if applicable I will also note favourite sellers.
  3. My Online Shopping Schedule (date order) to keep track of my orders.

I do not order a great deal online (and not very often) so this set up works for me and forms part of my Finances Filofax. It works for me as it helps me remember things and keeps all my information in one place (without overburdening the poor Filofax with unnecessary information). So today I am including my Online Shopping Schedule as a free download. The layout of which can be seen below.

Fantastically simple and follows the same format as most Financial Inserts so that can all be used in conjunction with each other.

Do you manage your online purchases separately from your regular finances? Or do they all get the same treatment?

  2. I track online purchases separately and enter a lump sum into monthly expenses. I also have a separate category for stationery 🙂 Thank you for the download, it’s already in my finances section!

  3. Wow, you really are so organized. I find this all too much for me.

    • I love to organise everything – that doesn’t work for everybody. Most people only organise the area of the lives that the struggle in. I organise because it focuses me and pushes me.

  4. I shop online as well, although not for clothes … but yes, it’s good to compare prices and it’s easier to do it online.

  5. That’s a great idea – exactly what I need. I have been printing out receipts to keep until the item arrived but writing it down is less wasteful and easier to track – thank you
